Girl Scouts

The Scouting Program is designed to give all girls an opportunity to develop their potential, make new friends and become a vital part of the community. Scouting helps girls build character and skills they need for success in the real world.

The program reaches girls in Second Grade to High School and form a Brownie Troop, Junior Troop, Cadette and Senior Girl Scout Troop.  Girls are represented from every school within the Newton County School System.
 
Girl Scout meetings are held every other Monday from 6:30pm-7:45pm.  Girls meet to work on badges such as First Aid, sell cookies and other products that teach girls about finance and marketing perform community service projects, visit nursing homes, collect items for victims of disasters, participate in the annual community parade and Literacy Festival.
